Lawrence Manley since 1983, has established a tradition of excellence in probate, family, personal injury, corporate, and employment law and a wide range of civil litigation. In 1985 he founded the Center for Youth Development, Inc., where he also served as general counsel. In this capacity, he established a reputation as an entrepreneur in the development of
human service strategies and solutions designed to help to improve the quality of life for at-risk urban youth. By utilizing legal, managerial and creative skills, CYD created employment, education, independent living skills and other innovative programs and services. CYD administered over 5 Million Dollars in grants and contracts, provided exceptional and innovational "Train the Trainer" programs, conducted by highly trained experienced trainers and consultants recognized for expertise in delivering effective experiential based learning training programs. CYD trainers successfully developed, designed, planned and implemented living skills programs and activities in the District of Columbia and State of New York, benefitting over 600 child care workers. CYD’s training was successfully replicated by child care workers to over 2,500 high- risk urban youth to obtain housing, employment, and higher education opportunities.

Mr. Manley is a 1980 graduate of The American University, Washington, D.C., where he earned a B.A., Political Science. In 1978 he also attended the London School of Economics, London, England; Honors program in Political Science & Economics. Mr. Manley is a 1983 graduate of Boston University School of Law, Boston, Massachusetts, where he earned his
Jurist Doctorate Degree.
