Maynard M. Henry, Sr., a native of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, graduated from Norwich University in 1983, with honors. While there, he was inducted into Sigma Tau Delta, the English Honor Society, served as captain of the varsity swimming team, and was a member of Toastmasters International. Mr. Henry received his law degree in 1986 from Duquesne University School of Law, and certification as a Judge Advocate, from the United States Naval Justice School in Newport Rhode Island in 1987. Upon graduation from the Naval Justice School, Mr. Henry served as a Judge Advocate at the Marine Corps Logistics Base in Barstow, California, where he represented Marines and sailors in courts-martials, and handled contract negotiations and environmental and labor law matters for the Commanding General. In addition, he served as a prosecutor, and a Special Assistant U.S. Attorney for the middle district of California. Mr. Henry also served in a number of other military capacities, including Legal Assistance Branch Head to the Commandant of The Marine Corps in Washington, D.C., and The Staff Judge Advocate for the 1st Battalion 24th Marines. From
1993 to 1995, Mr. Henry was employed by one of the premier firms in
Birmingham, Michigan, where he specialized in civil litigation in the
areas of educational, labor, and employment law. From 1995 until the
formation of Patrick Henry LLP, Mr. Henry managed and operated his own
firm, concentrating his practice in a wide variety of areas, including
litigation, labor and employment law, criminal defense, and personal
injury law. Mr. Henry is active in the community and his church, and is a member of the Board of Directors for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. |
